You can also meet your own compliance. You can follow along with the settings Microsoft has outlined for your in the Compliance Center. You choose what compliance you want to follow and can start making a plan and enforcing your policies.

Data Encryption

Microsoft 365 cloud uses encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest. This means that your data is encrypted when it is being transmitted over the internet and when it is stored in the cloud. Microsoft 365 cloud allows you to control encryption keys, giving you greater control over your data.

Your data is safe in the cloud. However, to fully protect your data, you must take the time and effort to add and set up the security features and policies. Each business has unique needs. Microsoft 365 is a safe platform, if utilized properly. Microsoft does not protect against human error or compromises. Therefore, it is best to follow best practices in how you manage your data.
