Access from Anywhere
You can access your files from any web browser, including from your phone, desktop, tablet, or PC/Mac. Even if you don’t have the downloaded apps, you can use the web apps, which is a simplified version, to edit and create Microsoft documents. Be Productive from anywhere, with full access and control to your files.
Easy to use Cloud Storage
OneDrive allows you to work from anywhere. All of your files are stored in the cloud. You can use the OneDrive app to download or sync your files through, so you can easily access files through the file explorer. When you get a new PC or Phone, just download the app, login, and all your files are there. Just need a file on the run or from another device? Login through a web browser to access your files without the application.
It’s easy to use and works like your C:/ drive today. Once you are set up, when you save a file, it automatically saves it to your OneDrive. It seamlessly integrates into your Microsoft Suite, offering additional features, such as auto save, version control, and sharing over its counterparts.
Back Up and Protect your Files
OneDrive for Business offers a backup of your files in the cloud. Why pay for another backup service for your local PC drive, when OneDrive is a backup and offers 1 TB of disk space. Need more space? You can always add more for a fee.
Protect your files from viruses and ransomware with Microsoft’s built in ransomware protection, and Artificial Intelligence. Not only can it quarantine files to prevent further infection, but it can allow you to restore previous versions to minimize data loss. Keep in mind, nothing is full-proof, or human-error proof, so it is always best to consider for your most valuable data, taking advantage of our Microsoft 365 Backups.
Shrink your Files
With 1 TB if online storage, compressing your files may not be necessary. However, when you get close to that 1 TB of personal storage and want to hold off on adding more, get more space by compressing your files. In additional, get more space on your device, by not syncing all of your files, but only downloading them when you are working on them.
Share Your Files Securely
You can share your files securely with OneDrive by sending email links for users to access the file online. You have permissions to allow read only, edit ability, link expiration, and more. It can also make collaborating easy, so multiple users can edit the document in real time, assuming you give the permission. Unlike SharePoint, you are the owner and controller of all your files in your OneDrive. Keep in mind, to always follow your security policy and only give the lowest level of permissions required. The best way to keep your files secure, is to use good passwords and Multi Factor Authentication!
Auto Save Feature
You spend hours working on a document on your laptop, forget to hit save, lose power, and all your work is gone! The Auto Save feature prevents that from ever happening again! By default, auto save is on when opening or creating new files in your OneDrive. Your file is constantly saving so you don’t have to worry about hitting save.
Version Control
Version Control allows you to keep a history of your document. So you can easily go back to a particular date/time. You can also keep notes on different versions if you would like. This also allows you to restore a file’s contents in case of an accidental deletion.

Is OneDrive Files Encrypted?
By default, OneDrive data is encrypted in transit and at rest on the Microsoft Servers.
Can I add more Storage to my OneDrive?
Yes, you can add more storage to your OneDrive. Currently Microsoft only allows 5 TB per user.
Are Photos Compressed in OneDrive?
No, photos are not compressed in OneDrive. Only files/folders that can be compressed will be, photos will not be included.
