FAQsWhat is Unrestricted Access?ISOC.NET links you directly to the Internet, whereas other commercial on-line services connect you first to their own network, and then indirectly to the Internet. Commercial on-line services rely on their own proprietary software, and moderate all behavior on their network (including chat and discussion groups). Some commercial on-line services by nature restrict access to the Internet through censoring of newsgroups, chat rooms and particular web addresses. ISOC.NET provides you with unrestricted access to the Internet and all of its resources. What is Unlimited Usage? "Unlimited Usage" means you can USE the service as much as you want. While you are actually doing something, you may stay connected as long as you want. But if you're not using your connection for an extended period of time, we ask that you disconnect. This policy is fair to all of our subscribers. It allows us to offer this service at a low rate. Please be considerate of your fellow users. This offer does not grant 24-hour a day continuous access. If you need that level of service, please see our dedicated connections. We reserve the right to use an idle disconnect mechanism and/or session time limits to prevent abuse of our services. Using this two-protection software we protect customers from the viruses and any weakness in anti-virus software. The front line of protection is in the two border servers using some of the world's most trusted virus protection software. The second line of protection lies in the Main Mail Server. This server contains a different virus protection to catch the unlikelihood of a virus getting through our Border Servers. This also serves to protect people emailing each other within a LAN or to other ISOC.NET users. ISOC.NET is working harder than any other ISP to give our customers the best virus protection possible.
